She just stopped eating one day, and we watched her wasting away. Tried to give her food, but the only way she would eat was if forced, and that's no way to treat your baby. Your husband, yes, but baby, no. Anyway, we made the decision that she was ready to go, and I told her to come back as a tiger and eat a villager or two, they gave her the shot, then she was gone.

We adopted her as a kitten, she loved to run across the house and straight up my back (loved the color red, both in my eyes and pouring out of my body), took down and totally dominated a Springer Spaniel who had the audacity to come in her house and try and eat her baby, and every night she slept under the covers curled against my belly.

This is only a small portion of her story, I miss her every day, and I'm sorry about your baby.HappyFunBallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03880064822883735795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7596405.post-1130164496407276742005-10-24T09:34:00.000-05:002005-10-24T09:34:00.000-05:00I'm sorry about Kitty/Otis. He was a beautiful cat, and I can tell he knew he was loved.susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12972073087103859606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7596405.post-1130163043554949882005-10-24T09:10:00.000-05:002005-10-24T09:10:00.000-05:00First of all: one big hug from Northern MO.Second:...First of all: one big hug from Northern MO.

Second: I think it happens in all families that at some point, your parents don't think it's important to tell you when a loved pet has passed. Take for instance, Robo's dog, Ginger. He'd had her since she was a puppy--she had been his birthday present when he was nine or ten. He goes home one weekend to visit and for the first time Ginger doesn't meet him at the door. She's not upstairs. He can't find her in the basement. That's when he asks "Where's Ginger?" And his parents say, "She died about two weeks ago. We didn't want to tell you. It was during midterms."

WTF? You know, he still gets misty eyed about that dog. And it makes me misty because she was such a sweet dog. And damn if we're not going to end up with a cocker spaniel when we get a house just because he wants another puppy like her!Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10281662456979956659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7596405.post-1130155181514464742005-10-24T06:59:00.000-05:002005-10-24T06:59:00.000-05:00That's just what I needed.
