Flu

Please, unless you're over 90, or have some major health issues, don't bother.

Personal plea, from me to you, don't be so paranoid as to "need" a flu vaccination.

It might make you sick - it's an active virus that they're injecting into you.

More importantly, it might make you too reassured - those things are based upon the particular strain of the flu which "they" think is going to be the biggie this year.

People, please trust in your own immune systems. Unless there's dire circumstances, usually they're enough to combat the issue.

PS: Rodney Dangerfield? Poor guy. Bad jokes, but still.. poor guy.

Ok, maybe it's just me, but I won't be getting a flu vaccination.

Course, then again, I'm relatively healthy, and seeing as how it's not a guarantee that I won't get "the flu", just a guarantee that I won't get one of many flus that will be around this winter, added to the fact that it might make me sick - makes me not want to get one.

Maybe when I'm old, and any illness has more potential to put me out for good.

As for Rodney Dangerfield, I've got the utmost respect. I think it was everyone else, stealing his jokes, that made me like his comedy less.

Flu shot - If you really feel like you'll be terribly sick without one, go for it. Just don't say I didn't warn you, if you still get sick this winter.

I didn't realize until about 10 minutes ago that Rodney Dangerfield had died. That's too bad. Of course, I was still drunk when I posted that first comment.

Posted before I finished my thought!

I didn't realize that the flu shot was only for one type of flu. That kind of sucks. I don't think I would be willing to get one, anyway, at this point. Doesn't sound like such a great idea. My immune system does me just fine. :)

micorbiology in college taught me all about the vaccination. i never got one for that reason. i tried to explain it to my family, but they went out and got one anyway. they both got sick :^) i do agree that "more mature" people should get it done like my g-ma.

Awesome. Glad I'm not the only one with some sense. ;)
